I created this website for myself a couple of years ago so that I had an excuse to try out a static site generator (SSG) called Eleventy.

The story behind this website is written in the footer of the site as well, but here's the short version:
I love fun facts. Or, "love" is a strong word, I like fun facts. Perhaps not more than the average person, but enough so that I've become the "fun fact guy" among my friends.
After somebody called me out on it I told them, jokingly, that I would start a blog where I wrote down all the fun facts I knew. So I did. I finally had an excuse to try out a static site generator called Eleventy (11ty).
And this is the result of that.
One Page Love-award
A guy I've been following for a while, Ron Hope, has this website where he collects and showcases his favorite one-pagers, meaning websites that only have one page, called onepagelove.com.
I always visit his site when I need inspiration, so when I began building this I aimed to create a one-pager, and hopefully share the site with him through his submission program. If I thought it ended up nice enough, of course.
And that's what happened. He liked the site, showcased it and sent me a diploma. Also, sites that do recieve this award gets a SVG ribbon they can show off, which I shamelessly do.
